Immigration policies could deepen labor shortage for CRE
Commercial real estate is already grappling with labor shortages, and the proposed RAISE Act would limit the number of refugees entering the country each year to 50,000, and substantially reduce other immigration. Nearly 70% of foreign workers in the US are between the ages of 25 and 64, while only 60% of U.S. residents are within the same age range. The US labor force is predicted to lose 2.1 million people by 2028.
