Active adult communities are age-restricted developments that offer an independent lifestyle and relatively maintenance-free housing. Amenities may include a spa, library, game room, theater, yoga studio, fitness center and beauty salons, and activities like cooking demonstrations, tai chi sessions, wine tours, and educational workshops.
Continuing care retirement communities are also known as “life plan” communities. They offer a continuum of care, including independent living, assisted living and skilled nursing.
