Bricks and mortar retail locations need to attract customers through experiences that are not available in online shopping. An independent bookstore can bring a sense of community and a “cool factor” to a location. Bespoke book stores, if run well, becomes a kind of town square in the mall or building – a place where people meet. And the entire location benefits from increased foot traffic.
